What I wore Wednesday

Well, this will be my first time ever doing a What I Wore Wednesday.  I don't like showing pictures of myself!  I guess the idea is to get women or moms or grandmas out of their jeans and sweatshirts and get us into something more fashionable.  So, in observation of "What I Wore Wednesday", I'm going to try to be fashionable today!  Here's what I'm wearing! Ignore the two paintings behind my head.  I really need to find another place to take my pictures!  And gotta love the 7 year old photographer.

Ways to Fight Osteoporosis -- Prunes? & other helpful tips

Most of these things you've probably already heard or have known.  Limit alcohol, limit sodium, don't drink soda, etc. etc.  But, in case you need a refresher, there's a link to an article from Health.com below.  Yes.  I even get my magazines through email!! 

I also read in a magazine last month that dried plums and onions were good for bone health.  I promptly went out and bought dried plums.  It's kind of hard to eat the required amount, though.  I guess in the study, women were eating 8 or 9 dried plums a day.  Whew!  That's a lot of prunes!  I can't remember which magazine I read that in, but you can read about the study on ScienceDaily.com.  And you've got to love a study that comes out of Florida State University.  *wink, wink*

Loving the soft, fuzzy, warm FAUX FUR! (In small amounts)

I was all about the fur last year.  I loved it.  Wanted it.  This year, eh. . . I might still do it.  They're still showing it and some of the things are cute.  Last year, I might have worn a vest.  This year, for me,  it's all about smaller fur details.  So here are some of the fur things right now that have caught my eye.  And as usual so far, I have no affiliations with any of these stores.  Just showing you what has caught my eye or inspired me!

Grown up Ruffles!

I love ruffles.  Always have.  Luckily, there are many, many ruffle options right now.

Animal Prints? On me? Yes!

I'm not sure I'd like to do the whole animal print thing again.  But, they're showing an awful lot of it right now.  The key to animal print is to keep everything else low key.  And if you're nervous about wearing it, try it out with accessories.

Shoes are a good place to start or a bangle on your wrist.  Not both together!

I saw this dress in a magazine last week.  Lucky for us, it was a September magazine and the dress is marked down now!!  I am in no way affiliated with JCPenney.  I just thought it was cute and it's MARKED DOWN!!

Three Style trends I'm loving!

I just joined Pinterest  a couple weeks ago and have pinned some of my favorite styles.  Here are three of the style trends that I'm loving right now!  

Dark Denim Wide Leg Jeans. . . . a dressier pair of jeans.

  

                     

    Longer ponchos and capes.  Love them!  They cover things nicely.  Although, I would not wear them with the jeans above.
